The other day we ventured to Jamaica Plain, a cute hipster neighborhood in Boston with a good-sized lake that they call Jamaica Pond for some reason. It's the perfect place to go for a run, jog, or even rent a boat to take out onto the water. Just remember: no children on the deck without a life jacket.
Jamaica Plain is the home base for the famous J.P. Licks ice cream shop - the J.P. stands for Jamaica Plain. I ordered my favorite - the chocolate chip cookie dough!
It was a gorgeous summer day, complete with blue skies, warm sunshine, and hardly any wind.
Next we went to the gorgeous Jamaica Plain Arboretum. I was clearly having too much fun frolicking in the park, with my Payless shoes, Target purse, Forever 21 skirt and vintage top and sunnies.
We found this cool park bench that was curved on both sides. It was surprisingly comfortable!
Sometimes, walking all day through nature and stopping only for ice cream is all you really need!
I definitely want to come back and check out Jamaica Plain again - they have some great restaurants and little boutiques. Not to mention the rental boats!
