Last month, my roommate and I heard about a sand sculpting competition at Revere beach. We casually decided to check it out, and lo and behold there was an entire beach-side carnival in full swing!
Yes, they even had a Ferris Wheel set up! Unfortunately my roommate is afraid of heights, so we couldn't ride it. Still amazed that they set this up though! I absolutely love roller coasters and theme park attractions.
My first ever fried dough! This was so delicious, I couldn't get enough!
A small roller coaster called the "Dragon Wagon" was set up behind the Ferris Wheel.
The sand sculptures were incredibly detailed and awe-inspiring, like this life-like human head and hand. The sculptors themselves were still working on their art as we passed by.
Look at those intricate details! Seriously, how do they do it?
I believe this was the only actual sand castle of the bunch. We want to know how the artists can sculpt the higher, top portions.
Hard to see but this one is a mermaid either coming out of or being eaten by a giant fish.
I believe this piece was titled Time is Running Out.
Stage with live bands doing cover songs.
We seriously had so much fun at the carnival, and it really felt like the perfect summer outing!
