Fall OOTD & Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival 2014

This weekend was technically fall in Boston, but it felt like the heart of summer! So I ditched the sweaters and the tights, keeping 2 of my favorite fall staples: plaid and booties. This weekend I ventured to the Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival for some fun in the sun with two of my three amazing roommates - Alana & Kimia!

The music was great, of course! There were 3 stages, which ensured that jazz was constantly flowing through your ears. Loved it.

Top & skirt: H&M
Tote: Target
Booties: JustFab.com

Drum circle. Yes, we did participate - so fun!

My booties were cute but didn't last long! Luckily I brought flip flops in my bag. Don't tell the fashion police.

How cute are these fruit drinks?? We decided to get a coconut water.

Yup, that's a machete man cracking open the coconuts for everyone. He was awesome.

We even got to pick our own coconut!

Way too excited for this!

Turns out coconuts are really small. We went back and asked the machete man to machete the coconut again so that we could eat the meat. It was more fun for the novelty than for the fruit itself.

All in all, it was a super fun day & definitely filled with sun!

Comment Challenge: The weather is so back and forth here in Boston! Do you miss summer weather, or are you excited for fall?

  19. What a cute outfit- the skirt is too too pretty! :) And the coconut water looks really cool! I tried coconut water (from a can) for the first time the other day and sadly, it was just way too weird tasting for me haha I'm so picky...I've never liked coconut much (especially the texture when it's shredded in cakes and stuff)

  26. That looks like such a fun festival! And I love seeing the buildings and architecture in the background. Boston is one of the last US cities on my bucket list of "US cities I want to visit someday" so it's fun to get a glimpse like this. And LOL at calling the fashion police on the booties to flip flops change. Sometimes real life and blog life just have to collide like that.

  32. We had coconuts when we were in Thailand and I have to agree about the size thing. The ones in Thailand are much smaller coconuts so the outer section to flesh ratio is more acceptable but I found that I preferred it when there was a pina colada or mai tai in it :P
