Boston had a heat wave this past weekend. It was one last summer hurrah in New England, and the perfect weather for a cruise. I was honored to be invited to the Boston Brunchers' Fall Into Fashion Cruise & Lunch Event!
The event began aboard the Charles River Boat at the Cambridgeside Galleria. The captain and crew were so welcoming, and one of them even doubled as a bartender to offer us delicious mimosas!
Mimosas galore! I loved this wooden bar & arched mirror.
Tables aboard the boat were adorned with white tablecloths and adorable floral centerpieces. Everything was crisp and refreshing - so nice with the warm summer weather!
Wondering why those sails are all pink? Apparently Community Boating, Inc. partnered with Education First to teach those with cognitive disabilities how to sail. They donate $5 to every mile sailed with the pink sails. So cool!
Speaking of cool, the captain let me drive the boat! I actually turned it, and didn't even crash into anything.
The best part about the event were all the amazing bloggers I got to share the experience with!
Some of the fashion vignettes aboard the ship.
Next, we had a tasting at P.F. Chang's! For the month of October, they're painting their iconic horses pink. For every selfie taken with the horses with the hashtag #PaintPFChangsPink, the company is pledging $1 towards breast cancer research - up to $1 Million! I think that's awesome, so I'm definitely going to be taking some pink selfies!
We also got complimentary cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! I went with the Cookie Dough (my absolute favorite), and the Red Velvet.
Next, shopping! We got a freebie from the new Plammie Activewear which was the cutest store! Tons of neon, bright colors and soft fabrics - my favorite.
Now for our event goodie bags! My favorite part was this amazing gift set from Sephora. It contained a set of First Aid Beauty creams, Makeup Forever Mascara, lip balm, primer, two lip sticks - one red, and one neutral for fall, and a little pocket mirror. I feel ready to take on the fall now!
Another great gift was this one from The Body Shop - body butter and white musk libertine!
Snacks and goodies! I've been wanted to try Teavanna so super excited for that!
One of the cutest parts of the goodie bag was the bag itself - they each had different sayings, and this one says Merci. I love it! Totally taking it shopping with me.
