Blue Barn Lunch in San Francisco

Blue Barn San Francisco

While home in San Francisco for the holidays, I met up with some fellow UCLA Bruins to watch the bowl game. Luckily we got there a little early so we could stop into the always delectable Blue Barn for a quick lunch.

Blue Barn San Francisco

Blue Barn specializes in exceptionally fresh salads and sandwiches. I opted for the Masala Sandwich,  which consisted of curried chicken-apple salad, almonds, dried cranberries, cucumber, red onion & sprouts on seeded whole wheat. It was seriously one of the best sandwiches I've ever had!

Blue Barn San Francisco

My friend got the scrumptious Poke Salad, which as you can see came in a generous portion. Blue Barn is such a great example of the healthy menus and quality ingredients that San Francisco is known so well for. And the UCLA Bruins won the bowl, by the way!

  3. I love the look of the sandwich, that looks seriously good. What's the blob of thing next to the bread in the salad? I have learn to love sandwiches, wasn't a huge fan of it back in Malaysia but these days it's an easy meal to put together and I make a horseradish sauce to go with it too. Our favourite has to be roast beef sandwich!

  12. Hello Chelsea, the sandwich looks delicious! Thanks for sharing! My family and I will be visiting San Francisco soon and would love to visit this restaurant. Every time we travel we either go to places learn about via the Food Channel or by reading reviews on Yelp. My daughter is a food lover and we always enjoy finding places for her. Have a wonderful day! Jeannette
