Sunday Brunch at The Trophy Room

the trophy room boston

It's no secret - I love brunch! From sweet french toast to savory egg dishes and breakfast burritos, there's no better way to catch up and treat yourself to some good grub before the workweek begins.

The other day, I met up with the lovely Kat from Love and Ace for brunch at The Trophy Room. As you can see in our table setup above, they have no shortage of breakfast and brunch options!

I ordered the Trophy Omelette, which was served with breakfast potatoes, toast, and a choice of three ingredients: bacon, ham, sausage, onion, tomato, spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, american, swiss, and cheddar. I chose spinach, bacon, and tomato.

There was nothing wrong with the meal or the service, but it wasn't mind-blowing either. It was a good meal, and I'd recommend stopping in if you're in the area, but no need to go out of your way to come here.

I prefer venues like Mike & Patty's and Barcelona. These restaurants make you really sit back in awe after taking a bite of their dishes. I love that feeling, when you know they just gave you a meal you wouldn't have been able to make for yourself at home. To me, that's the marker of a great restaurant, and worth going back to!

  4. That omelette looks heavenly and now I want to go down to the kitchen and whip up one. Darn you and your food porn. LOL! This weekend will be no relaxing as we're heading to Vancouver to catch the Chinese New Year parade, it'll be a little touch of home for me. Hopefully we'll enjoy it because hubby and I both hates the crowd! LOL!

  11. I just came from the Blue Barn post where I was salivating over the Masala Sandwich. Breakfast is probably one of my favorite meals that I never actually eat. So one of most relaxing things on the weekends would be the ability to sit down and enjoy a relaxing breakfast. :-)

  13. I havent been to brunch in *ages*- I really need to remedy that. And that's too bad this wasn't too stellar, though it definitely does look like it'd get the job done. I've recently been craving sweetness with my breakfast- something like a crepe would be delish right about now :) And I usually dive head first into the couch during weekends haha, I'm exciting like that!

  19. Nothing. Beats. Brunch. Seriously, it's one of those things that I used to look forward to every single weekend when I lived in NY. Brunch, followed by strolling in the park (or depending on how drunk that brunch was), taking a much needed nap.
