Cafe Flore: A San Francisco Lunch

cafe flore san francisco sf

I'm sure most of you can agree: There's no place like home. While back home in San Francisco, my dad (who just started an AMAZING blog of his own - stay tuned!) and I went to the glorious Cafe Flore for lunch. Not only was it a beautiful warm and sunny day, but the food was really amazing. Read on for deets!

I ordered the Wagyu Burger, which comes with arugula / pickled onions / pickles / tomato / aioli / acme hamburger bun / house cut fries. I added avocado as well, and so glad I did - look at that generous serving! Some restaurants will give you like, 3 slices of avocado, but Cafe Flore goes that extra mile. I also loved how the onions were pickled for extra flavor. The fries were seasoned so well and even the bun was tasty! All in all a delicious and filling meal.

My dad ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich, which came with the soup of the day - in this case an amazing tomato soup. I don't even like tomato soup and I liked this one! The ingredients are so fresh and flavor-packed here.

I have yet to see a city that rivals SF in the street graffiti game. I especially love the big goldfish printed all over the city, like these outside the cafe.

The only hiccups of the meal was that my water came with some paper in it, and the waitress took a while to bring me a new one. She made up for it in her friendliness and knowledge of the menu though. If you're in the Castro area I definitely suggest trying out Cafe Flore!

  5. Yum yum yum, the food looks oh so good! Especially that tomato soup. And if you liked it even though you don't like tomato soup, I'm sure I would slurp it up since I love tomato soup :) Plus, the place looks so pretty!

  9. Avocado, all the way! Love how much was on that burger. I just got back from a visit to SF (I consider it my second home), and wish I'd heard about Cafe Flore before! Do you have any other restaurant favorites? I'm trying to find new ones for next time.
