Funny Workout Tanks and Trucker Hats from Hippie Runner

*This is a sponsored post, thanks for supporting those who support Chow Down USA. All opinions are my own. Photography by Brad Bahner.

If I'm being honest, one of my biggest motivators to turn off Grey's Anatomy and go workout is getting cute new workout gear - and I know I'm not the only one! These bright and funny workout tanks and adorable trucker hats from Hippie Runner are so perfect and get me way more excited to exercise.

I'm not one of those people that just naturally pops up in the morning and goes for a run. Don't get me wrong, between my full-time job, photo shoots, restaurant reviews, and events for the blog I'm constantly bopping around. But when I get home, I like to relax and binge watch Netflix like no other (which is why you may have noticed a lot of tv & movie references on this blog, especially from The Office and Parks & Rec).

In high school and college I did a ton of dance and gymnastics, so those were my workouts - they felt more natural and fun for me than going to a gym. Exercise just for the sake of it doesn't have a natural appeal for me. So I need that extra push, and for me it comes in the form of cute workout gear - enter Hippie Runner!

All about that brunch and taco life! This "After This We're Getting Tacos" tank is pretty much my life motto. It comes in so many different colors and sizes, but the summer pink is my favorite. I love how relatable the tagline is, offering another great exercise motivation we can all get behind - delicious food!

Also, we need to talk about this pineapple hat. If I said "ya'll" I would totally say it now. Not only are the pineapples brightly colored, but they are wearing sunglasses like the stylish fruit they are. The brim looks like cork material, adding to how fun and unique this hat is. It's so perfect for summer cookouts, beaches, picnics, and of course workouts. P.s. The left pineapple is my favorite because if you look closely his shades are shaped like stars. Amazing.

Look two features a very cool black trucker hat with a gold heart on it - which reminds me of style from back in San Francisco, and a bright blue tank with an actual representation of what goes through my head in an intense workout: "Everything Hurts and I'm Dying!"

Cue laughing-so-hard-I'm-crying emoji here. How hilarious is this?? It reminds me of that Parks & Rec episode where Andy (played by Chris Pratt, who is now super ripped), tries to run a mile and just lays down on the ground and gives up. It also reminds me of the Parks & Rec episode where Amy Poehler says she's fine but also that "everything hurts and I'm dying."

Want to grab some motivating workout gear for yourself this summer? Check out Hippie Runner for these pieces and their full line of funny workout tanks and trucker hats!

White Ruffle Top from Chicwish

Top: c/o Chicwish | Skirt | Flats

You may remember my previous Chicwish posts (the blush lace dress and white satin formal dress with a twist). Chicwish is great for chic, trendy pieces for every season.

I chose this top because ruffles are fun and trending now, and I love the statement this top makes. It would also look great with a pink pleated maxi skirt to balance out the outfit.

Best Gluten-Free Pizza in Boston

It's no secret: I am pizza OBSESSED. Always have been and probably always will be. The toughest part about going gluten free about a year ago was to cut out pizza from my diet. Luckily, over time I've found a few amazing gluten-free pizza restaurants in Boston. For those wondering, gluten-free pizza tastes exactly like regular pizza these days, except it might be a bit thinner crust and slightly more crumbly.

Since more and more people are going gluten free these days, I thought I'd share my running list of gluten-free pizza for everyone in the Boston area!

Best Gluten-Free Pizza in Boston

Oath Craft Pizza

Oath Craft Pizza is all about unique, gourmet ingredients and has locations all over Boston - from Chestnut Hill, to South Station, and most recently Coolidge Corner in Brookline.

You can create your own pizza ("The Selfie"), or opt for a craft pizza which are all really good! Plus, if you're in a hurry or don't want an entire pizza, you can order by the half.

Blaze Pizza

Blaze just opened in the Fenway neighborhood near Citizen Public House / Target area, and it's kind of like the Chipotle of pizza. You go down the line, choosing your fave fresh toppings, crusts, and they pop it in the oven for you. It's super quick and about as healthy as pizza gets!

Davio's

Davio's is a great white-table-cloth Italian venue in Back Bay. They have great gluten-free pizzas for lunch, and just started a gluten-free brunch menu as well (at select locations like Back Bay)!

Sonsie on Newbury

Sonsie is another great Back Bay gluten-free pizza option. Nestled in the adorable brick-laden shopping street Newbury, it's the perfect spot to refuel after a full day of shopping or strolling around Boston.

Season's 52

Season's 52 is known for their great flatbreads, and luckily they have gluten-free options for these as well!

Otto's

I love the toppings that Otto's pizza (from Portland, Maine), offers. My favorite from this Coolidge Corner venue is the gluten-free mango and pulled pork pizza. Yum!

Lilly Pulitzer Dress from Pink Parkway

It's no secret that I love bright colors, so I've always been drawn to the bold hues of Lilly Pulitzer dresses. At the recent MarketStreet Lynnfield blogger event, part of our tour included a trip to the Pink Parkway store, which is a signature Lilly Pulitzer store. Up until that point, I had seen the dresses online but never shopped at a store in-person.

Needless to say, I loved so many pieces in the store! They're very well made and high quality, so even though they're a bit on the pricey side you know it's worth it since they will last forever. We got a 30% discount from the event, and I have 2 weddings to go to this summer so I justified getting 2 dresses: one signature colorful shift dress, and another royal blue (stay tuned for that one)!

OtterBox with Picture from Boutique Me

New phone cases are highly under-rated! I like to switch between a few favorites every few days. Just like accessories, switching between phone cases can match different outfits and moods, not to mention refresh your day a bit. Think about how often you look at, reach for, or hold your phone throughout each day. Changing to a new cover can be invigorating not to mention most likely more hygienic - so many germs can collect on these things the more you handle them, so switching out for new covers gives them a fresh, clean start.

So when I found out that Boutique Me (use code chow15 for 15% off) offers customizable OtterBox and LifeProof phone cases (in addition to gorgeous jewelry, clothing and tote bags), I jumped at the opportunity to try them out - and love the result! I was able to upload an original photo (which you may recognize from our trip to Cape Elizabeth, Maine last summer), not to mention adding a monogram and selecting the color of the border (blush for spring).

MarketStreet Lynnfield Blogger Bruncheon Event

*Note: This event was sponsored, and this post contains affiliate links, which means if you purchase any of these super cute pieces I will get a teeny tiny commission. All opinions are my own. Dress photos by Icy Li Photography.

Between photo shoots, editing posts, creating content, engaging, networking, editorial calendars, promoting, researching and working with brands, it's no secret to those in the industry that blogging is tough work.

Luckily, there are plenty of perks as well. One of the funnest perks of being a blogger is attending events and meeting fellow bloggers. These events allow you to explore stores and restaurants, often getting a behind-the-scenes story, while getting to know like-minded driven individuals who don't find it odd if you're taking 1,000 pictures everywhere you go.

Last weekend I went to a pretty epic blogger event at MarketStreet Lynnfield, read on to see where we shopped and what we chowed down on!

Dress | Coat | Flats ($13)

Above is the outfit I wore to the event. The dress is less than $100 and the trench coat is so versatile. I'm so obsessed with these blush flats for spring ($13). You may remember the outfit from this post

The agenda we were given for the event is below:

Davio's Italian Steak House
Amazon Books
Fat Face
David's Tea
Pia
Pink Parkway
California Pizza Kitchen

Davio's Italian Steak House

MarketStreet-Lynnfield-Blogger-Bruncheon-Event

Our first stop was brunch at Davio's Steak House in Lynnfield. Sound familiar? I recently reviewed Davio's Back Bay brunch location. Just a heads up for gluten-free friends that while the Back Bay location has a full gluten-free menu, the Lynnfield location does not. That said, they were more than accommodating to adjust current menu items to be gluten free (and they do have gluten-free muffins).

We started with a bruleed ruby red grapefruit, followed by cinnamon popovers.

For my main course I went with the eggs benedict, which they put on gluten-free muffins.

Amazon Book Store

MarketStreet-Lynnfield-Blogger-Bruncheon-Event

Have you ever been to an Amazon book store? This was our first time visiting one, and it was pretty cool. They put out the highest rated books of Amazon, including a new books section, and every book is displayed cover-out with Amazon reviews underneath each one. It's a great way to find highly rated books, and I love seeing this epic internet enterprise expanding into the brick-and-mortar model when so many retail stores are doing the opposite these days.

While at Amazon Books I bought Sheryl Sandberg's Option B, which is all about how to get through life when your Option A life plan falls through. She's the COO of Facebook and author of Lean In, and I saw her speak at my work recently which made me want to get this book! When checking out, be sure to give them your Amazon Prime information for a good discount - it saved me $11 on this book!

Fat Face

MarketStreet-Lynnfield-Blogger-Bruncheon-Event

Fat Face is this really cool British brand which has stylish clothes at affordable prices. The name comes from the phrase "phat" (for cool), and Face, the founder's favorite skiing trail. Their selection is stylish, casual and comfortable. Stay tuned to the blog to see the adorable dress and top I got here!
