Imagine this: women supporting women, full resort & spa services all under one roof, and lush greenery stretching as far as the eye can see! That's what I took away from the G Spa at Foxwoods when we visited in celebration of their *10th Anniversary*! Read on to see why I'm still day dreaming about this amazing experience and can't wait to come back!

G Spa at Foxwoods Resort with Gretta Monahan

First of all, being in Connecticut, Foxwoods Resort has so much more land than I'm used to in the city! It was breathtaking to see acres of vibrant green trees literally as far as the eye could see, which really added to the relaxation and sense of being away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Meeting Gretta Monahan was simply inspiring and such a treat on so many levels. Despite being super sweet and gorgeous, she's the epitome of a #WomanBoss. Gretta really made a name for herself through hard work, dedication, and without ever tearing down another woman to make it. She's the founder of the salon/spa boutique Grettacole, the fashion boutique Gretta Luxe on Newbury Street, and the beauty/fashion hot spot G-Spa in Foxwoods! She's also a TV personality and has been on every awesome talk show you can think of.

Her dream was to have one place with everything under the same roof, and the G Spa at Foxwoods is that dream realized! They have everything from facials, massages, nail services, waxing, and even hair cut & color all in one place.

Here's a sneak peek for you! Gretta has finally found these 100% natural and organic products that work just as well as products with less than savory chemicals. These are brand new and will be rolling out soon! I love that they don't have any weird chemicals in them!

It was such a treat hanging out with these ladies - they're all such girl bosses, and very hard workers yet so sweet!

The rooms were so calming and relaxing! I got their standard facial which was lovely and took about an hour - I can still see such a difference in my skin two weeks later! It's super soft and just looks more clear and healthy!

My esthetician has been at G Spa in Foxwoods since it opened 10 years ago, which turned out to be the case for most of the staff actually! This speaks volumes to what a great place to work G Spa is, not to mention shows the experience and talent of the staff which is truly remarkable.

Most spas have you go to a separate room for showers, but this one actually has it in the same room!

The hydra facial is similar to a peel but is much more skin-friendly, so you don't have a red face afterwards!

Our room had the same view as the spa balcony - that amazing expanse of trees with a view of the pool below!

I honestly can't wait to go back to Foxwoods. I would move in if I could! Between all of the spa services, the casino, that VIEW, the outlets, and ziplining / drop zone, they honestly have everything you could hope for!

Wicked Tulips Field: How to Prevent Burnout

Earlier this spring I was lucky enough to catch one of the last days of the Wicked Tulips Field in full bloom! The tulips were stunning and it was a warm day with blue skies. I couldn't believe all of the different shades and patterns of the flowers, and they all seemed so happy and thriving!

One thing all bloggers can agree with is that, though it comes with endless opportunities, new friends, travel, amazing eats and fun events, blogging can quickly burn you out (especially if you have a full time job like so many of us do)! I've put together a list of ways to prevent burnout - easier said than done, I know!

Wicked Tulips Field: How to Prevent Burnout

1. Learning to Say No

This is one I really struggle with! Sometimes there are a ton of fun blogger events, even multiple in one day, and often during the week after work. I tend to get fomo and try to go to all of them, which is just not sustainable! It's important to know that it's ok to say no if you're feeling tired or just need some me time. As long as you still respond to the event coordinator / pr person, you shouldn't worry about burning any bridges.

2. Find What Relaxes You - And Do That!

Some people run, others watch a Netflix show (um hi, I pretty much always have The Office on repeat), and others carve out time for a massage every now and then. Take the time to figure out what destresses you, and make sure you actually do that on a regular basis!

3. Stop to Smell the Roses (or the Tulips)

These days, we're always running from one project or event to the next. Apart from saying no to plans, be sure that you're taking the time to just be in the moment every now and then. Enjoy the little things!

4. Hang with Friends (and Laugh)!

Laughter for me is really the best medicine. Career and blogging is important, but make sure you have goofy days just laughing and hanging out with friends too. It's all about balance!

5. Enjoy the Sunshine

Take advantage of the fact that it's summer - get your Vitamin D while enjoying the sun rays on a stroll around the neighborhood!

6. Listen to Your Body

If you're starting to feel burned out, take a step back. See if you can figure out what's stressing you out, or what is taking up most of your time.
