With the holidays fast approaching, blogger events are in full force – which I love! It’s always so amazing and inspiring to meet with fellow local bloggers. From lifestyle, to fashion, to books and food, everyone has their own niche. Because of this, we aren’t as competitive as other blogging locations sometimes are, and it feels like more of a community.
This particular event took place at the oh-so cozy Peruvian Connection on Newbury Street and was hosted by the inspiring Georgina of Notes on Lifestyle, Kayte of Mass Musings, and Kristen from The Boston Fashionista.
How cute is this?? The Peruvian Connection offered a contest for a $100 gift card to whoever styled a mannequin the best, using their current collection within the store. Each stylist took a picture of their work with an old school polaroid. I love this idea!
This was my look – If I wasn’t so tired from work I probably would have added a hat, scarf and long necklace to complete the look, but I’m still happy with it! I would so wear this as an outfit (maybe with a puffy winter coat on top while outside).

Hanging out with the awesome Celina from Trends and Tolstoy, and Agnes from Spoons and Stilettos. Agnes ended up winning the style contest!
Snacks and warm cocktails and were provided – which is so nice now that the winter chill has arrived! See the steam in the cup below? Yum!
Here are a couple of my favorite styles from Peruvian Connection, which uses this season’s popular Marsala tone in their pieces:
I’ve been seeing this color everywhere, and though it’s not a tone I would have normally reached for, I now appreciate it’s rich, laid-back style. Blogger events like this one not only allow you to connect with fellow bloggers, but really learn about what’s trending. This is great because it allows you to really learn about your own personal style and what you like!
Comment Challenge: To all the fashionistas: How would you have styled the contest mannequin?
