As many of you know, I absolutely love to cook. Though most of my food posts are of restaurant reviews, I’m always striving to learn new delicious recipes. When Harvard Common Press reached out and offered to send me The Bonne Femme Cookbook, I got so excited!

The cookbook is filled with page after page of juicy, scrumptious recipes that real French women cook every day. I decided to try the simple Fish Grenobloise plate, since I cook fish so often and wanted to try a new spin on the dish.
Ingredients (makes 4 servings):
4 (6-8 oz) skinless fish fillets (1/2 inch thick)
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons capers, drained
2 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
4 lemon wedges
We pretty much cut the above recipe in half so as to make just 2 servings.
Step 1. Season both sides of fillets with salt and pepper.
Step 2. Dredge both fillets in flour to lightly coat, shaking off the excess.
Step 3. In a large nonstick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of the oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers. Add fillets and cook, turning once, until they flake easily with a fork, about 5 minutes (reduce heat to medium if fish browns too quickly).
Step 4. Remove pan from heat. Transfer fish to a platter and sprinkle with the vinegar.
Step 5. Off the heat, warm the remaining 3 tablespoons oil in the still-warm skillet. Stir in the capers. Spoon the sauce over the fish and finish with parsley. Place one lemon wedge on each plate for squeezing onto the fish.
Et voila! The finished product is a flavor-packed piece of salmon that is incredibly delicious. I will definitely be making this one again!
