They say dark chocolate is good for you – it’s full of antioxidants and rich in nutrients like fiber, iron, and zinc. Well if that’s true then I just had the most nutritious dessert ever!
Many of you may remember my original post featuring this marshmallow chocolate pizza from Max Brenner. I’m sure I needn’t explain further why I went back for another trip to a restaurant that serves marshmallow pizza!
This time around, we ordered the impossibly delicious (and a little bit adventurous) Classic European Fondue for Two. This dessert came with fresh bananas & strawberries, not to mention sweet chocolate chunk cookies, marshmallows and chocolate sponge cake. They even set up a tiny tabletop bonfire and gave us metal prongs to toast the marshmallows! It was so fun to light each fluffy sugar pillow on fire, blow it out, and dunk it in the chocolate sauces! Now about those sauces…
This plate came with the option of dipping in a choice of two towers of melted chocolate (milk, dark or white). Even these sauce towers were so darling, and each one had a little flame at the bottom to keep their contents melted. We ordered the dark and white chocolate dipping sauces, and a toffee sauce was brought over as well!
My favorite was the dark chocolate by far. Ever since I started eating dark chocolate, I haven’t had much of a taste for milk chocolate. I still like white chocolate too, but it seems to be more rare and not quite as nutritious.
So there you have our super nutritious dessert! I already can’t wait to go back and see what other goodies they have to try!
