In case you missed my past post on Coppa, it’s is an adorable little Italian restaurant in the South End with a great tapas (small dishes) and wine menu.
Above you can see what is probably my favorite dish they have: Fluke Carpaccio. This dish consists of local fluke crudo (raw), cracked black pepper-lemon curd, and almond pesto – AKA amazing flavors, texture, and extremely fresh ingredients. It’s not too bad to look at, either.
The Polpette is a hearty plate of meatballs, tomato, and parmigiano cheese. Can’t go wrong there.
I ordered the Nero di Seppia Capelli d’Angelo, or squid ink angel hair pasta, cockles (the tiny clam look-a-likes), oregano, and lemon zest. It was a great, clean dish that was so healthy and fresh.
Gotta love those brownstone views of the South End!
