The other day I met up with my blogger friend Kat for lunch, and the meal was so delish I had to share it with you all! We went to the Parish Cafe, which is known for it’s simple, unique concept: They reached out to local Boston chefs, and had them each create a scrumptious sandwich just for the cafe.
I’ve actually been gluten-free for about a month now, so I opted out of the sandwiches this time around. Luckily, it turns out that the rest of their menu is equally scrumptious and noteworthy.
We ordered the Hot and Cold Salad, which comes with both grilled & chilled chicken breast, marinated in olive oil and garlic, and served with arugula, caramelized almonds, shaved carrots and chilled snap peas over warm sticky rice with a sesame-soy vinaigrette. YUM.
Basically the arugula and chilled chicken were on top, and underneath the salad was a warm bed of sticky rice with grilled chicken. The rice made it more filling than a regular salad, and the warm finishing was great for the chilly weather we’ve been having.
I also loved this pint glass fixture they had on the ceiling over the bar!
