Dress: c/o The Mint Julep Boutique | Heels: Target | Necklace: c/o Rocksbox | Clutch: Fossil |
Happy Easter everyone! My birthday really crept up on me this year – I mean how is it already the end of March! Luckily I had this incredible hot pink shift dress (Similar here, here, and here for less than $50!) c/o The Mint Julep Boutique to throw on and look birthday-ready! We went out to the delicious B&G Oysters for dinner, which we’ve been wanting to check out forever, and then headed over to Knight Moves, which is the funnest board game cafe!
But back to the dress – First off, can we just talk about this phenomenal color? As many of you know I’m obsessed with bright colors, so obviously this is my favorite dress of all time. It’s also the perfect color to usher in Spring – bright, happy, and confident.
Not to mention it’s a shift dress, so it’s amazingly comfortable rather than some spring dresses which are super tight. Another aspect of the dress which I love is the unique detailing on the back – I’m a sucker for any dress or top with an interesting back design, I think it really sets the piece apart. You’ll see it for yourself as you scroll down!
Of course I paired it with these cobalt heels from Tar-jay, because why not add some color blocking in the mix to welcome Spring! I also added my collar necklace from Rocksbox which I will forever be enamored with.
Remember earlier when I mentioned the gorgeous back detailing? Love it!
This hot pink number was honestly the perfect spring birthday dress – it’s the type of dress that instantly makes you feel super glam and trendy, and what girl doesn’t want that? Unfortunately this one is sold out, but The Mint has a ton of similar ones for under $50 – check them out here and here.
Be sure to check out the rest of The Mint Julep Boutique‘s collection too, they have literally anything you can think of, from springtime dresses, to tops, skirts, pants, leggings, shoes, and accessories! As my favorite characters from Parks & Recreation would say – Treat yourself!
Other dresses I’m loving for spring this year: This white tiered lace dress and this rose gold bow dress!
