I recently met up with fellow influencer Azulena to check out Cambridge brunch spot Colette Wine Bistro! Chow Down USA has evolved over the years, covering everything from travel to fashion, but it started out as strictly food.
More specifically, I reviewed restaurants – everything from the dishes themselves to the ambiance and service (which is such an important aspect of dining out). I miss this aspect (and blogging in general), so I’m making an effort to bring them back in 2020!
Colette Wine Bistro really nails it in the ambiance department. If attention to detail, atmosphere, and glorious interior design are your thing, this is a must-try spot! As you’ve seen above, the bar at the front has touches of gold, marble and (forrest green) velvet chairs. A crowd favorite is the floral wall (also pictured above).
I was most excited to sit in the below tall chair that looks like it’s straight out of Alice in Wonderland! I saw this one on social media, and I’ll admit it was the main reason I was excited to dine here.
I ordered the duck waffle which was a great hearty dish. I used to only get sweet brunches like french toast, but realized they left me with such a food coma that made me less productive, so I switched to savory dishes like this!
See what I mean about the ambiance!
These gold and blush velvet Victorian sofas are to die for – and so comfy!
If you follow me on Instagram then you may recognize this red velvet jumpsuit from my holiday collaboration with Legacy Place and Anthropologie! I did a dressing room try-on and took an IG stories poll about whether or not I should get it. I’m so glad I did because 1) it’s super comfy, 2) jumpsuits are flattering, and 3) it’s an easy way to look chic and put together without too much effort! P.S. check out Azulena on IG too!
