Wondering where to stay in Sligo, Ireland? Look no further than this cozy Doorly Park townhouse by Boston’s own Oak Realty which is available to rent! After spending a few days in Dublin, we couldn’t wait to see more of the Emerald Isle, and we’re so glad we stayed in this townhouse specifically & in the magical town of Sligo. You really couldn’t ask for anything more. Read on to see why!
Sligo is situated just 2.5 hours west of Dublin, so you can easily take the train or drive over. Either way, your path is filled with lush greenery, plenty of sheep, and rolling hills.
Where to Stay in Sligo, Ireland: Doorly Park Townhouse
We spent a week adventuring around Sligo and other parts of Ireland, keeping Sligo as our home base. Our Doorly Park abode was SO nice you guys! It has 2 floors, 3 bedrooms (with 3 large beds & a baby crib if needed), 2 bathrooms, and a cozy living room and kitchen. They even have an in-home washing machine and dryer, which you don’t always see here!
The Living Room
Can you tell we visited around Christmas? They really pay attention to the details here – this tree was all set up and ready for us before our arrival! The couches were seriously comfy and we came here to crash each night after long days fills with photoshoots, horseback riding, and road trips. We would post up on the couches to edit photos and have inspirational brainstorm sessions about our blogs, our businesses, and just life in general.
There’s nothing like coming back after a rainy day and putting on a warm crackling fire in the fireplace! I loved the intricate detailing around the fire too.
As cozy as it gets here! The rooms are all renovated and modern, with little touches of charm everywhere you look.
The Kitchen
We got to enjoy a beautiful bright kitchen with natural lighting, marble counter tops, tiled floors, a stocked fridge, stove, and microwave. The great thing about Doorly Park is that it’s just a 10 minute walk to the center of town, so we were able to save money and spend some fun nights in with a pizza party instead of having every meal out at restaurants (though we did that too of course)!

The Master Bedroom (1st Floor)
The master bedroom on the 1st floor is my favorite – it was one of the most comfy beds and fluffy comforters ever! I got such good sleep there, I didn’t want to leave!
Just looking at this is giving me nostalgia for that comfy bed! Just look at the fluffiness!

There’s a beautiful bright hallway between the master bedroom and the laundry room, which enters into the kitchen. This is also where the door to the backyard is. The master bath also has 2 doors, so you can walk through there to bop around the place too!

There was something about the master bath I really liked. It was bright and modern and clean, for one thing. It was extra roomy and the floor tiles had a bit of texture on them so you wouldn’t slip.
The Upstairs Bedrooms
I love how there are 3 bedrooms here, so you can easily bring your friends and/or family to join you on Sligo adventures! Having two floors is great to make sure it’s spacious, quiet and everyone gets a good night’s sleep.

Upstairs Bathroom
The upstairs bathroom was all black-and-white marble – still pretty and a totally different feel than downstairs.
The Backyard
The backyard has this gorgeous, colorful mural which lends itself to the nature and outdoors of Ireland. You’ll also find a picnic table for morning coffee here, as well as a BBQ for afternoon cookouts. I’m telling you, this place has EVERYTHING you need and more!
