One thing I always warn my readers: Don’t read Chow Down USA before lunch!
Chow Down USA (as seen on NESN’s Dining Playbook, radio with Billy Costa, and in-store poster in Uniqlo on Newbury Street), is a travel, food, and fashion blog based in Boston and San Francisco. CDU is dedicated to inspiration in the form of travel & hotel guides, drool-worthy
restaurant reviews, and petite fashion that won’t break the bank.
You’ll also find plenty of blogger tips
here! After 5 years of blogging, I’m so proud of how far my blog + social media platforms have come and I
want to share what I’ve learned (and am continually learning) with you all.
Now that you’ve taken a tour of CDU, take

My name is Chelsea, and I’m proud to be a
San Francisco native, UCLA alum, and currently based in Boston. What does all
of this mean? That I’m lucky enough to have a bi-coastal experience of travel, food and fashion, and that I love to share it with the world!
I started CDU before I even knew what
blogging really was, or that there was this huge blogger community to uncover. As its name
suggests, Chow Down USA got its start as strictly a restaurant review blog.
Growing up in the food mecca that is San Francisco, my friends and I were
determined to branch out of our usual routine of going to the same restaurants
over and over, and someone had to document this, right? My love for cute styles
quickly spilled over into the blog, too, and readers seemed to enjoy those
posts so I stuck with it!
I love learning languages, including Japanese, Spanish, French and Italian!
I’m a dual citizen (U.S. and Ireland), and really want to make a trip to Ireland soon and see my roots.
During high school, I performed in an NFL halftime show for the San Francisco 49ers with my dance troop at the time.
I’ve always been drawn to bright colors.
My mom used to say it was because when she was about 7 months pregnant with me,
her appendix burst, and they had to perform surgery with me still in there! So I
was exposed to all of this bright light way before most babies are. Who knows
if this is really the reason behind my penchant for colors, but I like to think
So, that’s the story of me and Chow Down USA! Hope you get a kick out of the travel guides, restaurant reviews and style posts, and hope you find the blogger tips useful!
